Had a friend give me some GT 1535 carbon arrows 30" long.  I shoot 30" GT 3555's out of my Super Grizzly and have them tuned quite well with weight tubes and 135 gr broadheads.  Shot a bareshaft 1535 and it flew pretty erratic and seemed loud out of my bow.  Could I cut them down and tune them to my bow or am I just wasting my time??? I draw 27" so I could cut them down quite a bit.

I've been able to tune that arrow to shoot out of 45-50# bows easily. Try cutting and adding point and/or insert weight. Cutting will stiffen and point and insert weight will add weight to it so arrow comes close to your GT3555s.

Depends on what draw weight you are shooting. I too have a short draw, 26". Out of my 43# recurve that is cut 1/8" past center with a 12 strand FF string I shoot 2 different combos with 1535's. First is cut to 27" with 225 gr. points. Second is cut 29" with 150 gr. points. They spine within 1 pound of each other and both fly excellent. As long as you aren't shooting over 50# you should be able to tinker and make them work.

I will give it a shot, thanks.  My bow is 45# @ 28.  It seems to love these 30" 3555 with weight tubes and tuning has been really easy for me.  I will cut these new ones down a bit and see what happens.
