Tool and Die maker says the dies should be ready for delivery in a couple of weeks.
The steel should be here on Dec. 6th. Then my headaches really begin.      :D

Though I should let you all know where we are at with this.
The steel is here. I'm ready as soon as I get the dies. The blade die is complete but the farrel die is giving the tool and die makers some fits. There is a lot going on in that farrel. Lots of angles. I'm still hopefull that we will get the dies soon so we can have some prototypes to show at Kzoo. Time will tell.

I have some samples from the dies. They are only about a month late. That seems to be the way it goes with anything new. It always takes longer than is expected. The dies need a little tweaking yet but they are close.I think its only going to take a couple of changes to have them correct.
One good thing is my fixture for assembling the broadheads is working. Of course it also took a little tweaking but thats to be expected.

Bill, These are going to be a great head!  Its like any Castle..... The foundation takes the longest time to build, once thats perfect, you will have a better structure.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

I would love to be able to do that but these are only samples of what the dies are producing right now. Just pieces that I have spot welded in my fixture. They do look like the broadhead but they are far from ready for service. They are not brazed, heat treated, teflon coated or ground. The dies need corrections before I can take a sample any farther than this right now.

You are correct, Charlie. We will get there. Its just taking longer than I had hoped.

Bill, just saw this thread, don't know how I missed it.  Great timing, these heads have Bear Medicine written all over them.
You should have the bugs worked out in time for my early June
Manitoba bear hunt.
I like the glue on option, my son shoots 200 gr. heads, I shoot 250 gr. one head will work for both of us.
Keep everyone updated.
Roy
