Yes, I made it from a piece of bamboo, an old belt, and some fuel line.  It holds the arrows tight against the outside of the bamboo.  I made it so I could carry stone points without having covers on them.  It works pretty good.  I have thought about busting the nodes out of the inside and use it for storage.

That's a great story and I love the pics, especially the ones with kids in them. Shooting a deer with a bow you've made yourself is pretty special. I think it's great that you shared that experience with a youngster.

In the close up pic of your arrow I notice the black band on the arrow shaft behind the stone head and was wondering is that paint or is the arrow reinforced with something?
