Abe, was gonna ask if was a static tip or working limb until you posted the last pics. Another gem, looks great and I'm
Sure it shoots the same.

Don't practice until you get something RIGHT.  Practice until you Can't do it WRONG.  Dave Rorem

I know I'm going to regret this, but how much does THAT bow cost as built?

good gravy.  I've found my next bow.

question for Abe: how does this bow differ from the Tuktu EX, other than being a 2-piece? is it essentially the same bow in a 2-piece format?

by the way, I am still drooling over this thing. wow!

It's the same just made to be a TD and it has a wrap which you need to cover the joint.
awbowman
The bow set up as is $1205.
Roy
It's been awhile but good to hear from you.

awbowman-no it doesn't need or have phenolic.

Here are some graphs, one is a DFC ,the other I like to call an effort graph. The effort graph will give the lbs increase  for every inch draw the bow till 31".

I know it says Draw force curve on the above graph it's because I use the same program to make both graphs.

Congrats Abe for that fine bow. It seem to be extremely smooth even past 31" !  Could it handle 32"? I miss my Peregrine fantastic grip!
La critique est aisée mais l'art est difficile.

I think for you 62" would be better. Although as you can see 31" looks good I still think 62" would fit and be sweeter.

Well, it looks like Abe designed a winner here!     :clapper:

Is this the first two piece recurve design on the market???
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

Amazing and gorgeous bow.

I think the takedown photo shows why longbows are popular in 2 pieces but recurves aren't though. A longbow in 2 pieces is a bundle of sticks which will pack efficiently,  but a recurve is an awkward pair of parts which require careful stowing.

On the gripping hand, case designs for 3 piece takedowns are limited in size by the arrows so this perception would change if one showed the bow in the context of a cased set w/ arrows.

I'd be very curious to see what an optimal arrangement would look like, and suspect that while the case dimensions would be perhaps only a bit smaller than designs for 3 piece T/Ds, it would afford more storage space, in shapes more interesting than the rectangles I was left with:

Not sure if this helps but the length is 29.5" as is. This bow is a 60" model. I would say many arrows would be that length.

Arranged like that you could fit everything into a case which would make mine look huge --- very cool.

Dang I just can't stop looking at it

This will go nicely into a back pack or bow bag.  Along with that sweet DFC what's not to like?

What I like about a 2 piece design in that it can be broken down into a smaller package to fit better in my cram packed jeep.  Then when I get to my spot in the morning it just slips together.  I have no knobs or wrenches, screws, or washers to drop in the dark.  Yes a 3 piece makes a smaller bundle.  I can get by with the 2 piece
