Is my arrow heavy enough?

Just wondering what you guys think:

I'm shooting a Dwyer Endeavor, 59# at 28", but I shoot at 25", so likely I'm low 50's with poundage.

My arrow is a carbon express heritage. It's 27.5 inches at 9.71 gpi for a total of 267 grains just with the shaft, add the insert (11g), head (175g), and that comes to 454 grains, plus nock (?g) and fletching (three 5" shield fletch TrueFlights). Is that enough for an arrow, particularly for Whitetails? I'm guessing it comes out to around 9 grains per pound, but I'm no expert...

Sounds like it will do it. What broadhead will you use?

I'll be using the Woodsman Elite unless anyone has a strong suggestion for a 175 grain 3-blade.

You should be fine for Whitetails.  Make sure it is well tuned and use a sharp broadhead.
Casse Couilles!

I am shooting a very similar set up 45@25 recurve with AD trad lites and Woodsmans on the business end.  Roughly 450 grains give or take and I get pass throughs into the dirt on most money shots.

You will be fine

Thanks all for the confirmation. I'm having a blast tuning and tweaking things in anticipation of the rut here in Wisconsin!
