Well... I am starting to loose sleep.
I've got tags for elk, deer, and bears.
but I have to wait 17 days, and 18 hours.

We have two seasons in California. The first season is in July. I only had the opportunity to go out once during that season. The second season starts this Saturday. I am super stoked. I got a decent deer tag draw, no elk, but I have a beer tag, pig tag, and small game stamp that lets me hunt quail, chukar (I don't even know what that is), grouse, and rabbits. I had better get something out of it. Let me know how you do. These days, I tend to hunt vicariously through others, especially when I am as unsuccessful as I have been of late.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

I'm in California and can't hunt. I have to wait until the end of October to go home and hunt in Tennessee. I don't mind though, I will be there just in time for the best week of the year. They have gotten tons of rain there so I'm just hoping it gets cold and early. It will be a killer season.(pun intended).

They now allow 1700 bears a year to be taken. It is usually a few more than that, but once 1700 are reported they stop selling the tags.
