Anybody have any pictures of the optional carved checkering border available on Silvertips?

I've got a one-piece 'tip on order and am definitely going with the checkered grip, not sure about the carved border.  I haven't seen many examples and was hoping a few members might be able to post a photo or two of their carved borders to help me decide.

Bjorn

No idea what a carved border is but here's the checkering for what it is worth.

Ask Beth for some pics.  She has quite a few that she sent me as I was designing my one-of-a-kind I have on order.

You'll like the checkered grip. I had Dave do my RER. Really like the way it looks and feels.

Easykeeper

Thanks Keith, I will do that.  She sent me a bunch of photos a while ago but at the time we were talking wood choices, maybe she would have a few more if I specified the carving option.

Care to share the details of the one you are waiting on?  Mine is going to be cocobolo riser with the standard stipe, koa limbs, horn overlay and tips, checkered grip...and maybe the fancy carvings...that's the last thing I need to decide on.

Easykeeper

Stage, I love the checkered grip on the Silvertip I have now.  It's a TD I found in the classifieds a while back and you are right, love the way the checkering feels.  Adds a classy look to, kind of like the stock on a nice shotgun or rifle.

I have a Silvertip longbow that has an elk antler in the checkering pattern.  I don't have any pics right now, but I will try to get some.  Tough to beat a Silvertip!

Beth sent me pics with the Elk Antler, Whitetail antler, oak leaves, etc in the checkering.  I am going with sheep tracks bordering the checkering since I am getting the sheephorn overlays.  He has never done that.  Should turn out pretty cool.

There was a beaut for sale last year on Tradgang that had elk antlers carved into it. I think carcajou (Tug Hill) may have been the person that sold it. If anyone has pictures of that bow I would love to see them again. It was the nicest Silvertip, I ever saw.

I agree, and Beth and Dave bend over backward to make it the way you want.  Customer service par excellence!

Got 3 on the rack and one on order, the checkered grip cannot be beat, love them. I do not have any of the special borders though, just the normal checkering, may have to get something on the new one.

Keith, do some searching on the net for custom gunstock checkering. You should find all kinds of examples of checkering borders, ribbons, floral, rope, etc.,etc.

Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!
