A friend has a Bear Kodiak Hunter, 60" 50#.  It has an endless string that is too short for the bow.  I am making him a flemish string but does anyone have a good starting point for brace height.
Thanks.

DawgDoc

Usually around 8" is where i've seen them. Some may be a little happier around 7.5" and others toward 8.5". 8" should be a good starting point for initial tuning though.

Shawn Leonard

Yup, right near 8", little more little less but Dawg has it right! Shawn

Many thanks to both of you.  That was my guess but since I haven't had one, I thought it best to ask the experts.
