With some of my recent post on Frogging some have asked what do you do after the frogging done and your now faced with the task of cleaning them thangs    :saywhat:

This post is a continuing how to of the "Frog point pitchforks" and hunting them.

On this trip Tommy Ballinger (Pascagoula Archer) and me hit up Boggy Lake for another go at it.

We had a good night and brought home 8 (6 for Tommy and 2 for me, Tommy likes me to keep score    :dunno:    ).

I'll post more after church and while I wait for the video to load.

cut the legs off at the hip, the two legs are still together, put an old sock on your hand and reach between the legs at the hip area grab the skin and pull towards the toes, skin comes off, cut off feet, clean a bit, roll in flour and pepper, and toss them in a skillet of grease, awsome.

Ok guys sorry for the delays but our frig is on the brink and I had to do some repairs and cleaning of the coils, please pray it works as I don't have the $$$ for a repair, thanks.

To make this short here is the video on cleaning the frogs my way  hope it make sense... Mooshkat had a tip that I think would work great by using an old sock as he suggested as the skin is really slippery and can be hard to grasp.

SWEET!  If'n it's as easy as it looks in your vid, John, even a dumb yankee could do it!

Curious as to why you don't use a board to cut the legs off. Seems it would be cleaner and easier on the machete.

Richard,

Either way will work this is just quicker for me and one less item to gather up (board). If I had a bigger pair of shears that would be best option.

Thanks guy for the comments!

Robert, I've got those 16 legs in the freezer now waiting for when my wife get ready to cook them or me   :bigsmyl:

We have another 78 legs over at Kirks house and we plan to have a frog fry in a couple of weekends and then go frogging that night.
