Ok...here's a question that 's been asked a proverbial million times on here, but for some of the newbies on here I'm gonna' run it through again........."how much do you practice...???'. I got thinking about it when answering on another thread on here regarding string longevity and hearing how much some of you guys practice...! As for MYSELF...a typical week is shooting 4-5 days during the week...typically 75 arrows"ish" per session"...(sometimes a hundred??). And occasional shooting on the weekends at shoots....that's a fair amount of shooting. That's over 15,000 shots a year and I'm still seeking to improve...aren't we all. How bout' you guys..how much are YOU practicing and what tips do you want to share??...I'm sure I'm middle of the pack with some of you guys....what say ye...????....thx....Jackdaw

When I have time, I will shoot a half dozen arrows several times a day. I have a hard time concentrating for many shots at one session.

I have able lately to shoot am and pm sessions, 50 to 60 in a session, practice more on form than hitting the target.

TDHunter

most days, sometimes 2-3 times a day of it's a weekend.

I'll fling a few arrows everyday.  Usually several times a day, esp when no one is home. Id probably say around 100 shots a day.  I also shoot multiple bows during the day as well.  I work weekends, so I don't do 3D shoots.

Average three times a week through the year, my work days are twelve hours so no shooting on those days and I work three days one week and four days the next so I shoot on almost every off day. So with inclimate weather, I bet I average three days a week.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

I'm retired and able to shoot in my backyard.  Thus whenever the urge strikes me I step out and shoot 6 - 10 arrows at least twice a day.

VictoryHunter

2-3 arrows a day. Otherwise my for form goes out the window.

I don't "practice" in say a conventional way a lot. Most days I try to shoot some arrows.  There are days like today not a single shot is fired. Tomorow ill shoot a couple after I get some stuff squared away.

On a weekend where I'm here my bow and a few arrows sit outside in the backyard all day and I fling some here and there.

I play around a lot really. Doing trick shots, or shooting sticks I have poked into the yard.

Every session I shoot I do shoot a BH about three times from 10-35 yds just for confidence.  When I hit my three kill shots I go back to playing around. Archery is my fun time and relaxation so I don't take it too seriously. I know I'm deadly out to 35 yds, so then I try not to get too consumed.

Early on when I was changing my form and arrows and everything else for that matter it was a different story.

I go through streaks. I'll shoot 100 arrows a day for a month or two then back off to shooting a couple of times a week.

It depends on life getting in the way and how much stress is in my life. I use shooting to reduce stress

Normally I'll shoot 8 or 10 arrows three times a week, more to kinda stay in shape pulling the bow.
I may do some blind bale shooting every other week to maintain form.

I shoot everyday, short sessions maybe 2 or 3 times  a day if the weather allows. Many times I just take one arrow and work thru every shot. I have battled target panic for 10 or 12 years and I have beat it back by doing this.....it still raises it's ugly head now and then. I also dropped bow poundage and this helped my form a lot! I do love to shoot.....really love stump'n!

Practice?.....None!

But I do shoot quite a bit.

The word practice sounds too much like work to me and I'm lazy...lol

Any day I have a bow that functions and I'm not laid up sick.  So far that's surprisingly little practice.  Can't wait for my bow to get finished, but I have learned patience from all the hospital stays.  Hopefully it'll be a lot more when it gets here.

Right now I have about a half dozen bows sitting in my back porch ready to go at a moments notice...I will go out in my back yard and shoot some several times a day...I very seldom shoot more than a dozen shots at a time unless I am shooting 3D or Technhunt...then I will shoot as much as I can...I believe that one is not overbowed with any bow they can still shoot well after 40 shots...one of my current projects is to work up to doing that at 70 pounds...I love the way my Dryad longbow just thumps a 675 grain 2317

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42
