Steve O,

It's an accessory for the existing knife sharpener. The Jewelstiks are 3 sided: 270, 600, and 1500 grits. Here's a link to a picture and all the info:

I sent a few of these out to some known Simmons shooters a few months back to see if other people liked them as much as we did. So far it's been a resounding "yes". Jeff is right BTW, the diamond plating on the Jewelstiks is much more durable than on other diamond hones.

still tryin to get this video thing figured out...  :banghead:

oldskool

The jewel stick is VERY AGGRESSIVE. The only problem I had was learn how to Not let the whole weight of the jewel stick ride on the blade. When I got that down it's a piece of cake. Remember use light strokes, I've learned with mine' the lighter the strokes the better.

old school,
You are right about that.  Just let the Jewelstik ride with it own weight as no pressure is needed.

I had the fortunate opportunity to test the jewelstik option and it puts a killer edge on Simmons heads.  First head I tried was a beater head that was as dull as a butter knife.  Tested the edge by shaving some leg hair and used a little too much angle to cut LOL
