2216 for new bow?

I've got a new bow coming,Check-Mate H2 52@29. Was gonna shoot carbons, but cash gonna be tight.I got some GG 2216's that need to be put to use.
How  do ya think about a 30in 2216 with 125 up front will do from it.  :D

I shoot a 2016 cut at 281/2 with a 125g out of a
54@28, my draw is 27 they fly good. I put them thru a chrno. they do 167.

I shoot 2216 from all my bows and they range from 50 to 54# and they shoot great. By the charts they are stiff for that weight range, but if it aint broke dont fix it. At 30" you should be fine.

This is no joke-------When I fisrt started shooting a recurve I had a Bear Bearcat-66in long and 45@28.I went thru several alum. arrows until I endeed up shooting 2216 with125gr up front.All I could see when I let loose was a little white golf ball all the way to the target.No fishtailing,no up down,no porpoising.I was more accurate with that bow than any I've had since.Go figure?Hadn't shot them out of a heavier bow,that's why I asked.  :confused:

They may work.

I shoot BW SA models, all 49-50#'s @ my 29 inch draw.  A 30.5 inch 2216 with a 125 gr tip flies better than anything else.  And by that I mean they bareshaft straight and true to where I aim at 30 yds.

As raw shafts, 2216 and 2117's weigh the same. The only difference is the 2216's are stiffer.

At my 27" draw, 2117's fly perfect cut 28.5" with both 125 and 160 grain broadheads. I had to cut 2216's a full 1" longer to get proper flight.

I shoot 30" 2413's w/125 up front and they fly great from my CM's recurves which are 50-57lbs#@28". a 30" 2216 has a shade less spine than a 30" 2413 but a few more GPI heavier.  If you have them give them a try...

I will hunt a Vortex, 53#@29 this fall with Delta 2 blades. They fly better than anything else I've tried. Slower perhaps but they fly true.
