All help appreciated-- want carbons from allwoodarrows, 54" RER Arroyo- 40#@ 28" wife draw length 24.75"-need to figure spine and length- for those feeling froogy complete arrow setup. I am lost on a low poundage short bow. Thanks in advance

I would say about .600 spine at full length would work. She's probably holding around 33# at her draw.

I would suggest CE predator II shafts in .800 spine to start. Probably 27-28" w/ a 145gr point and the half-outsert they have for them. Should be in the ballpark.

Gt 15/35 full length with 150 up front should be close might play with it and trim em down a touch

GT 15/35  just mess with tip and length. 75 or 100 gr up front and adjust length till they shoot good the bow should still shoot then pretty flat.

I'm with Prairie Drifter, I really think that bow is going to pull 29#-30# at 24.75" draw length. I know an Arroyo is a fast bow and I think their shelf is cut past center but at 29-30 lbs draw weight I think its gonna need .800 spine  arrows.  I think you could get full length .600's with 150-175grains up front to work but I really think the trajectory is going to be quite arch-y. At 30 lbs draw weight 7-8gpp is plenty.

I would also try an 800. You could probably start at a 26" arrow and a 75gr. tip, bet it would be pretty close to flying like a dart. I used the same arrow off a 33# target recurve and draw only 26", right around 28# or so........IJ

That sounds great I appreciate the input.Prairie Drifters CE predator II shafts in .800 spine. We'll start at 28" cut from there w/ a 145gr point and the half-outsert for  hunting and Iron Johns  26" arrow and a 75gr. tip for target (same outsert Iron John?)Thanks, Who' ya'll like for building 9 each and a dozen axis for myself?
