Good morning. I need a new string for my spirit longbow. Does anyone with a spirit use fast flight strings. I have only used B50 with it so far.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure they are all fast flight capable, but why don't you just call the guys at RMSG and ask them and order the string from them, they make as good a string as anybody, handsdown and they are the only dealer for these bows when sold new!

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

Thanks for the quick reply. The tip is reinforced, I was more interested in how the bow reacted to a fastflight string.

I can't speak for that particular bow, but in general...

Don't expect magical speed gains, unless the string you are using is really bad.  You will probably gain some performance, but not normally a huge amount.

A "fast flight" (generic) will be more durable, have less stretch, and less creep.

It should have a more "crisp" feel on the shot, and any felt hand shock should be reduced.

Noise will vary depending on several variables.  The pitch will likely change, but if it's a well made string and you do your part with tuning it should be quiet.

The type material will have some effect, but how the string is made will make the big difference.  Strand count will have some effect as well.  Personally, I've found no real benefits to a string that is way over-built or way under-built.
