Great bow, and great pics.  Daniel, I seriously think you just might be the most interesting man in the world.  No, really, put a Dos Equis beer bottle in those pics and there you have it!  Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy your posts.

You have a great camera, those picture are outstanding!

Great Pics.  Now you have me thinking of horses, we can go hours talking about them.  Cool stuff, I also would enjoy a vid.

It was a GREAT gesture for sure, but you are right, what comes around goes around.

I wonder if mine would let me shoot off him? My big boy is a taller, maybe a long bow?      :readit:

Wow !!!

Thank you all so much for helping me saying thanks to a friend.
You are a bunch of good people on here.

I was so excited myself that I forgot to give you any details on that bow.

Here you go ....

Ghillie Dhu  or  Horse Hex as I call her.

56" Bow.
52 lbs @ 28
48" strung Nock to Nock with 7 BH and 44" at full draw.

Full working recurves, deflexed riser with horn overlays at the back and front.
Bamboo core with carbon back and front using Hex 6 technology.
Almost no preload - easy to string and ample smoothness.

Weight of bow without string:  420 grams
Weight of 16 strand FF string with silencer: 7 grams

At my 29 draw she shoots a 580 grain arrow at 178 fps  -  at 28 draw with same arrow it is 170 fps  ...

It is short enough to be used for mounted archery as well being shot from a blind or tree stand.

 Cyclic-Rivers

nice looking horse you have there.

I knew I was not the only "Horse Crazy" out there.
You might find this link helpful if you want to start horse archery.

For those who like those silhouette Photos .... I can send you the full sized pic or feel free to download them from my Photo bucket Album.

Thank you all again and shoot straight.

I will keep you updated on her adventures to come.

Daniel, Thanks for the Video.  You have a great trust and leadership with that horse.

Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed viewing your video! That brings back some incredible memories of living in MT and watching friends "gentle" their horses and break them to all sorts of things, if not shootin bows off them.

You folks that use animals in your hunts, be they lamas, horses or dogs, truly have a dedication and investment of time to bring them to that level of trust and companionship!

I blinked when the credits came on about "selling" the horse! Horse crazy takes on a whole new meaning.

great shooting and intriguing to watch someone immerse their animal in the "old ways" with bow and trusty steed!

Thanks!

We have horses as well, but we don't shoot our bows off from them.  That is very cool!

Wow, I have never seen that much recurve.  It would seem to me that limbs like that would be suseptible to twisting.  Does the Carbon backing help with that?

danny, the hex6 are very easy to string cause the string is only 2" less than the bow (60" string for a 62" bow); it make this bow a pleasure to string what was not really the case with the hexv

Lone Ranger

wow, those pics are bad a$$!

Really cool pics!
