David, I'm planning to come over to Compton on Saturday...if I can get away from work for the day.  Gwen won't be with me.  But, we're bringing our new/first travel trailer to GLLI and staying the weekend.  Gwen wants to say hi and my wife Heidi would like to meet you and look into buying her first bow!  My four year old son Eli is looking forward to his first GLLI; he's my little archery prodigy!

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys.  Now to decide which one or four to buy!

I have a Big River '59er that's a great shooting bow.
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

If I was looking for something different or a replacement for my Robertson Peregrine I'd want to checkout the Kota Killum, like the one RonW snagged before anyone else could blink from the classifies

I don't know if it technically fits the description, but my Sheepeater Spirit static is my go-to bow right now. so much so that several others are gathering dust except for an occasional shooting session.

I have an REr Retro on order that i'm anxious to try. January is a while off...

I'm really digging my Great Northern Ghost.         So much so I bought another one, same specs and cut it in half!!!
Now I have a back-up I can pack away nice and neat in a small little package. Great bows.

Nothin' I'm being a sorehead.    :bigsmyl:   One look and I new that killum had to be a fine bow    I hope you put good mojo on it this year.

I will say ...that Kota was a great buy and turns out to be a fine shooting bow.....easy on the eyes also. It reminds me of my old Bear Grizzly from the early 70's....but a bit quicker!

Andrew,

I had a beautiful fox breed I foolishly sold, as mentioned the Kota Killum another good one.

RER Retro, although it has static tips....  another favorite that you can't find, is the Ramhorn, by Jim Reynolds... "Another I wish I'd have kept"... LOL

I only have the one, but I love my Appalachian Archery recurve 58" and 60# @ 28".

I've always liked 50's style recurves, simple and classic.  I've only had a couple, one was a beautiful Robetson Peregrine that I stupidly sold.  The other is a McCullough 59'er that I still have and haven't done anything stupid with...yet...lol.

Traded this Maddog Retro away because it was too heavy for me but it sure was sweet.

Andrew - Susie and I will be set up in the vender tent.  Come by and say hi.  It will be good to visit with you.
