Maybe the older generation needs a younger working career firefighter/paramedic to accompany them, ya know, just in case.  I can treat the sprained ankle, administer your daily medications.  Kind of like the medic in the platoon.  What do you think?  :)

I think your idea is great.  Like minded hunters from a similiar generation.  A younger hunter could learn a lot by hanging around you fella's.

Good luck with your endeavor!

Gotcha guys! Jeremy, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I did not mean this to be an exclusive "club". Just thought older retired guys would have more flexibility in their schedules and be looking for a buddy to hunt with. Love to have you in the directory! Thank God I'm a very healthy and active 64 yr old... but you never know when you'll need a  hunting buddy who can administer CPR! LOL   :biglaugh:

I completely understand wanting to hunt with others in your "age group".  I wasn't offended in the least.  I mean come on, there's not enough scentlock to cover up the smell of Bengay and a pair of depends!  :coffee:

P.S.  No more old people jokes I promise.

I'm definitely interested. I get 9 weeks off a year with my job and really want to start going on the hunts I've dreamed of. Going alone sounds boring as others have said.

You can add my name to the list, just retired, looking forward
to hopefully many more years of hunting. I went to Africa last year by myself, the hunt was great but I missed sharing it with someone.
Good idea, I'm thinking Canadian Bear hunt 2014, haven't
Decided where yet.

Ok guys we're almost 40 strong! I've had to hire a secretary (my wife) to help with the paper work, e-mails and document development. If you want to be in the directory please provide your name, email and home state with your "I'm in", that makes things a lot easier and avoids my sending out e-mails for more info. Thanks again, this is gonna be great!   :goldtooth:

Directory is not even out yet but I'm gonna start!... I'm currently researching outfitters for a 2014 moose hunt in Newfoundland. One of our guys is going this year with Portland Creek outfitters. He will discuss the trip with me when he returns. If all is good, I will be looking to book the hunt. Let me know if you have an interest. This information will go out to everyone in the directory once it is completed. Michael

Jeremy, if I manage not to sprain my ankle and remember to take my medication would that free you up to carry out game and other heavy lifting?

Kevin Dill

I'm too young for this, but somebody needs to come up with a good name for it....

Retired Archery Traditionalist Society? no...

Association of Active Retired Bowhunters? no...

Fairly Active Retired Traditional Shooters? no...

Senior Traditional Archery Bowhunters? whoa...

Yeah,Pete may be on to something!... What were we talking about????

Ya didn't say anything about us in our 70's but put me in if I'm eligible at 71. And a young buck is always welcome to go with me. They do come in handy sommetimes when animals die in bad places!   ;)
