JD shot this deer. This bow was prototype #1...she is only 43# at 28". I was a bit nervous with that weight as the deer can grow big up here, but after i shot the bow i knew there was no need for concerns...shes a screamer.  This one here is made from some awesome osage taken from Josh Sowerby's (Oliver Stacy strings)family farm. It reminds me of an ultra lite fly rod made for sneaking up on secluded brook trout pools, an absolute blast to shoot! I will get a few more pics up in a bit.

Ron, different spot than the kayak hunt. I know, im long over due to wrap that story up. Seeing that we still have over a foot of snow and cabin fever has struck hard i might just have to do that.

Burnsie, its going to be a standard bow in Jims line up.

A few more pics....the view from the stand shows the spot where JD shot the deer.

The bottom pic is the Recon47 next to his 56" mojostick.

A pic of JD and his deer... big big body!!

The rack in my right hand also came from this spot, it was a great yr!

When I first looked at the post and pic I thought hay a JD bow, but then looked closer and thought no I guess not too short in the riser and curve on the limbs look a little different.  Guess I was right or is that wrong?   :readit:

That is a serious amount of bone in the one pict. Looks like great country!  Congrats to both of you.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I shot the bow before he turned it into a T/D and with a high wrist it really shot nice. He was stacking arrows in the target at 20 yds like he couldn't miss.   He's taking it elk hunting this yr, a new one 55# this time!

Just a teaser!  Going to have a product review on Recon47 and Recon49 coming soon!
