" The Flight of the Arrow"

The cedar arrow from my longbow flew
Through the misty mornings early dew
And over the back of my wary prey
I watched the arrow sail away
Forget the prey and watch the flight
Of the arrow I tried with all my might
But, to no avail and I know not where
As I watched the arrow disappear
Into the woods and shadows beyond
This early mornings misty dawn....TW

Love your poems Wannabe1!  They relate to my own experiences all to well.  My good friend Ron Laclair writes alot of poetry and songs about archery and bowhunting also.  You two would get along quite nicely indeed. I keep after him to publish a book of his writings.  Maybe you should consider that venture yourself....?  Horserod
