Some tapered cedars I made about 10 years ago and like shooting. Yes, we ate him. Not bad baked...

Great thread! After spring bear season I think I'll try and make some wood! I have been shooting aluminum so hopefully it won't be to much of a change

Yes. I think it was southern pecan alcohol stain from three rivers. That was over yellow leather stain (waterbase). the water base dried for three weeks before I applied the alcohol stain. I dipped them in Formby's tung oil. They look briter in the pic because of the camera flash. That day was very over cast.
