ANY SUCCESSFUL COYOTE HUNTERS ON HERE???

You need to get an ACME safe and anvil and a long length of rope. It's the only way to get those coyotes out here in California.  :)

I've gotten one with a recurve.  My strategy was simple: Deer hunt for 30 years and don't miss when a coyote happens by.

I agree it was the most incredible trophy I've taken...probably because it was most unexpected.  

Coyotes with a bow are tough.

I hunt them seriously, but with a rifle, from Sept thru Feb. I do try to get one or two a year with my recurve. Its great fun. I make handcalls and use them most times, but will also use an E-caller as well.
I have gained great respect for coyotes over the years, as they are an awsome animal to hunt, or simply watch.
Heres a rare white one that I unfortunatly hit with my pickup a couple weeks ago. Beautiful California coyote:
