Edge2009- I will post some pics of mine when I get it done. Spalted elm board with enough pegs to hold 8 bow vertically I believe.

Here you go.  Many of the bows have changed, but this is what I use.  Most of the older bows hang vertically.  The ones I shoot more frequently hang horizontally and you can see that I leave some strung all the time.

Why Bjorn... I didn't know you owned a traditional bow shop!  You learn something every day, I tell ya.   :-)

Never build a rack because then the Mrs. can keep track of how many there are.

You gotta' get them in the house and on the rack without being seen and once there they are for the kids and not you-that has worked well for me!   :archer2:

Thanks!  I'll pass your compliments on to him.  I think this is the only bow rack he's ever made. Some of the inlay work he's done on desks and the like that he's made seems museum level quality to me. As far as I know, he's never done any woodwork for money, just for the love of doing it.

Are there any sites/stores that sell bow racks?

Alexander Traditional

3Rivers sells a few. They have one that has a bear, elk,or whitetail scene that looks like it's copper coated that I was thinking about getting to add to the one I'm building.
