I have shot all of my deer standing up but the buck I shot this past season came up on me to fast, time really didn't allow for me to stand up and get a shot. I decided to shoot him sitting down and it worked great. I didn't notice anything different, I was so focused on that spot I wanted the arrow to go, I didn't even notice.
I shot that one with my 64" long bow

No, always standing when possible in a climber where the seat folds up and I can lean against the tree. With a ladder stand it's more difficult to stand for a long time.

Can only shoot to the left sitting down, we have a bunch of log rounds on our3d course and shoot sitting there on regular basis, I really like it.

I shot my first deer two months ago seated from a ground blind, with a wheelie bow.............I'm now practicing seated with my recurve and hope to be good enough come September to ground blind hunt with i.

I usually set my climber for a sitting shot but i can stand and shoot forward or right if needed. I practice shooting from a sitting position quite a bit

My hit to miss ratio from a stand is much better sitting than standing.

Doesn't make a difference really. Only deer I killed this yr I was sitting. Use to make a big effort to stand, but now days I don't like getting my bow into a draw position then the deer senses something and have to stand there holding my bow for a long time. So most times I just keep sitting with the bow vertical and tip on my boot.

My preference is to stand but sometimes you need to shoot while sitting, I practice both. Both have worked.

Doesn't matter to me..I've got a couple of stands that can only be shot out of sitting..

I shoot from a sitting position out of a tree stand. I'll stand if I need to to get the shot, but 80$ of the time, I shoot sitting.

I'm old. I tend to sit more than stand in my tree stand. Seems we never see deer far enough off to "get ready"...they just materialize and you either take the shot or not.
I've shot several deer sitting but then I practice it to keep limb tips clear and not smack myself in the foot, shin or thigh.
Please don't ask how I learned that was important!

Prefer standing, but if one slips up on me while seated then I ake the shot with less movement.

I will stand to shoot in a climber 80% of the time if I can.
On a hang on stand I feel more stable (less scared)sitting down. I like hang on stands with a solid seat so I can pivot around on my butt if I need to. I will stand if I absolutely have to.

I stand when I get a chance. Several times I have had a deer materialize and took a seated shot. One of those was on a blow-down log when I had just finished a PBnJ sandwich while still-hunting and a six-point walked up and stopped at 11 yards and looked back over his shoulder. I raised the bow, drew and released in one quick motion. 35 yards later he ran into a tree and collapsed.
Best hunt ever.
When I used to shoot in an indoor traditional league we warmed up with "follow the leader" practice shooting from chairs or sitting flat on the floor. Sometimes sitting on the floor
beside
a chair and shooting under the seat. You can tell if you are overbowded when trying to shoot with your butt on the deck through the framework under a chair.

I'm like Doc Nock...too old to be standing
I shoot 90% from sitting. With my hearing loss, I find I move less sitting...tippit

I like standing shots best. I use my climber and leave the seat at my feet when I get to my desired height. I lean against the tree instead of sitting and the deer don't seem too pick me off as much. It has been a good strategy this year!
So standing shots are working for me!

I shoot either way. If i happen to be standing when the deer comes in, I shoot him standing, if I am sitting, I shoot sitting.
God bless,
Nathan

Which ever is the most effective given the situation. I like sitting for me it's more stable. But it is limited where you can shoot (out of a tree) . When using my climber I have the seat up high so if I do have to stand to shoot to my right or behind me I just have to lean a little forward and straighten my knees allowing me to stand with little movement.
