Here's my stumping/small game rig.

Just wanted to bring this one back up. I've gotten this one broken in real well and it has been my go-to back quiver for a few outings now. I just applied some weatherproofing and it's getting a nice dark tone to it. 6/7oz veg tanned leather. It's softening up very nicely.

for khardrunner...

Thought I'd show my new back quiver, made by a local leather guy, Alamo Custom Leather.  He did a great job.  I wanted one to hold a few items, just in case it's ever needed.  Turned out great.  Love the latigo leather.

Sweet looking quiver!

Here's my new custom Hill quiver from HHA. I had it made a little smaller since I don't ever carry a dozen arrows.

Thanks Wannabe1.  It also folds nicely in the middle to keep the arrows completely still.  I can bend over to pick up things, and the arrows do not move.

Also, the pics barely show but the front strap holds my hunting knife.  You can see the handle sticking up.

What is the design on the top of the quiver? It looks like a sun symbol. I like it!

It is a sun symbol with a cross stamped in the center.

Just finished this one yesterday.

22" deep and about 7 1/2" wide at mouth.

Just because you are passionate about something, doesn't mean you don't suck at it.

Thanks Rob. The piece for the body and strap was a leftover piece at the local leather shop. It's very thick but soft and extremely pliable. The base piece was extra thick and stiff wax coated oil finished from the scrap box of the store. The scrap box also produced the thin brown trim piece around the top. I gotta quit making so many quivers.    :help:

But, seeing a piece at the shop and envisioning it as a quiver drives me to make just one more.

Bud,
That's another fine quiver! That's a heck of a score on a heavy soft piece of leather. Somebody somewhere should set aside the great pieces of leather like that one for guys with your talent

WESTBROOK

Bud, your gettin real handy with the leather!

Nice work
