Congratulations Derrick!!!! That's a great trophy and story!
Hit your last coat of finish with some 0000 steel wool and that will help quiet down the draw as well. That's the biggest buck I know of with the poplar shafts. Congrats again!

Thanks everyone, he was the smaller one. The other was heavier and taller but not wider. I was hunting just north of Victoria. He was around 156lb field dressed. The landowner said he was equal to the heaviest weight and widest rack taken on his property. He was 21 1/2 inches wide. I was very proud as that goofy grin showed.

Thanks to everyone on here for the guidance over the last couple years. It wouldn't have been done without everyone.

He's nice! I used to live in Yoakum which is not too far from where you're talking about. I didn't know they had those kind of bucks around there.
