What reccomendations do you have for material that is light weight and water proof. I want to make a suit but don't want to worry about rain soaking the suit.

Thanks

Waterproof?  Rubber or plastic or super tight wool maybe.   Yuck.

Why not just make or buy a regular ghillie suit (plans available on the net) and wear a rain suit under it when the weather warrants?

Not to mention the ... uhmmm... aroma of a wet G-suit....

Synthetic Fleece?  Not exactly waterproof but it won't hold much water and will stay light.  Or synthetic (acrylic)yarns. Nylon would be too noisy.

Couldn't you spray it down with camp dry or something like that and just let it air out for a week or so outside before you start using it?

I would think it will still smell like camp dry
(chemical) unless you washed it.
