Photos while hunting...
«

So far I've got nothing to show for it but a few cool pictures I've taken with my phone while hunting.
When I get bored and the day gets long, sometimes I pull out my phone and snap a picture to put on my status update for Facebook or Twitter. I'm sure that some of you do the same. I would love to see them...
Post pics here that you have taken while hunting...

Those are cool shots Tony. I hunted the sunken lands my second year in Arkansas. The first morning I let a six point go by. Then shot what I thought was a doe, buttonbuck that weighed about 100-115#. It was then I realized the size difference from Camden deer to those up there.
I don't know how to post pics from my iPhone, but I got a bunch of pics of deer from Saturday. I had seven under twelve yards throughout the afternoon. No bucks so I let them go.

akaboomer -- I live next to the sunken lands, in Lake City, and I bow hunt there mostly in the late season.
Dad and I have 17 acres in Randolph County just south of the MO state line. The deer population is much better there and I tend to do all of my early season hunting up that way.
However, it doesn't take long for 17 acres to get over pressured and deer tend to get scarce after the guns start going off in November. Around Thanksgiving I start turning my attention back home...

This picture is from last year but it is drainage ditch, like the one above, with water in it:
The Sunken Lands can be a beautiful place!

The land is great and the deer get big but like you said the population is lower than other areas. I discovered places closer to home, Hot Springs area, that have big buck potential and more deer. That said the Sunken Lands is a great place with out the crowds.

Rezeen -- I live in a Lake City. I hunt on a small plot of land that we own near Nubbin Ridge Road and on a 600 acre lease that we have near Dalton. I also hunt the Sunken Lands here at home.
I have a grandmother and a brother that live in Pokey along with a few cousins. I'll give you a shout sometime.

My son at sunset by the river!
Dad's gear in wait.
My son's first day bowhunting, surveying a river crossing.
Earlier in the day.
