Danny my heart goes out to you and the entire family.  Please pass on my condolences to his Wife....

Your brother has been a good friend via here on TG and thru Email... Especially thru this present pre-election period, as we both shared common political beliefs.  I'm going to miss him and his correspondence.

God Bless you all... I'm going out side in the morning and launch an arrow towards the canyon in his honor,

Danny and kimber I am so sorry for your loss. I have been off the site for the past three weeks and didn't hear of Donald's passing until I received a call from Kimber tonight. Please know that my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I recently made a trade with Donald for his Big jim Buffalo bow. I feel honored to have it. Donald was a special guy who will be missed by all of us on this site.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for you thoughts and prayers. They mean more that you will ever know. Don loved archery and this site, I am sure he is smiling down from heaven knowing all of his friends are praying for him. He will be with me always in my heart and soul.

Im very sorry for your loss, God bless your brother and take care of him

Christy Rowan Burnett

I sat for hours last night with tears streaming down my face as read all of your post and prayers about my daddy!!! What an amazing group of people you all are! You have made me realize that my Daddy is not gone he is alive in everyone of you! Bless each of you that carry a piece of him with you because you keep his memory alive! Me and my Entire family thank you all!

Uncle Danny, I like Kimber have not been able find that place where I can be at peace with this but after reading your last post I think maybe I know now where to find that connection. I have had my feeders out for awhile but have been unable to go hunting because that is one of the first things I can remember my Daddy teaching me and every year as I sit In my stand I remember all of it and until now couldn't bring myself to go there but I believe that that is where I need to go to get to that place. I thank your for that insight. I think illI find a good tree and spend the day there. T hat is where he put for an entire day the first time he took me hunting because I would not be quite lol. And remember I love you and keep you in my prayers also.
Again I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for loving the special man that's was my Daddy!
As I am new to this site I hope I have put this post in a good place for everyone to see it if not I will leave it to the rest of you to pass it on.

Christy,

Your right to get back out and hunt.  I had a very hard time when my dad passed away and only was able to come to grips with it while sitting on a hillside hunting mule deer like we had for 30 years.  That day a feeling of peace came over me as the sun set and I knew he wanted me to go on.

I hope you can find the same peace.

I am glad Christy, that you still love what your Dad taught you, this will be an eternal bond with him,he will always be near you in those moments, particularly.
The Caribow longbow that Kimber sold is now on good hands by a trusty member here,I saw the bow and I am glad that now it is owned by someone that knew Dad and has great consideration of him.Everytime I'll see my buddy with that bow I remember of Nakohe.God Bless you and you family.
