Just picked up my new toy from Steve Tallant at the post office.  He made me one of his new Frontier 66 string follow bows.  I had him put fiddleback myrtle on the belly with a rosewood riser and bamboo cores.  The carbon back was spray painted flatblack before the finish was sprayed on. String follow bows are awesome shooters!!  Steve makes a great bow, at a good price, in a short period of time-ordered July 28, received October 3 (just a shade over 2 months!!!).

The third flight of 4 arrows from 20 yards.

That's a beauty, I like everything about it. That grip does look especially nice. Congrats on a very sweet bow, and Well Done to Steve!

Steve belongs to the best and that string follow longbow you have sure is a beauty! Congrats! I bet she shoots like crazy. I once had the pleasure to shoot the Tallon Static Tip and what a great shooter that was!
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

That is a sweet heart of a bow Phil!   :clapper:    :clapper:

Is that some of the same myrtle wood you sent me Steve?  If so it looks a LOT different under glass.

Could you give us a few more photos of the belly veneers Phil?  I've heard about this bow while it was being built and been dying to see  photos of it...   Kirk

Phil, I didn't even knowyou got your bow until late today. Two days ago my computer refused to load windows. We could not find a thing wrong but it just wouldnot open up. Marcy workedonit until thisafternoon and finally gave upand downloaded the entire computer and reloaded it. Brandnew computer too .
Its great tosee you got yourbow and like it. Looks like it shoots pretty good for you too/

Kirk that is the same myrtle  I bought several huge slabs of it. Ron, the mill owner told me that in 35 yers or so he has only see a couple of trees like this. He called it black myrtle. Some of it is black and also yellow and very striking. It makes a very classy looking limb and the pics really and truly do not show it off good enough/
Not too many bows that I have a hard time parting with./ This one really grabbed me.

God bless you all, Steve
