Can any one give some info on a Shultz Old Favorite longbow ? I have one coming soon and I don't know much about except that it is a Hill style bow.

Thanks

Don't know about the Old Favourite but I just picked up a 68@27 Granpa from tippit on the classifieds and it has hands down the best 'shoot where you look' attributes of any bow I've ever tried!

I think you'll be pleased....

Take the string off it when your done shooting, don't leave it strung overnight. Wax it a couple times per year. Don't over draw it, or let anyone else shoot it for that matter. Put some 150g broadheads on some wood shafts and go hunt!

probably Schulz' glassed string follow bow that he made in the late 80s right before he started making the all bamboo no glass bows.

the other ol' favorite was a all yew lam bow with bamboo backing that he made in the 90s

it will be either one

LongStick64 - From what I know about Schulz bows, I don't think you like it.  Save yourself some troubles and just send it to me   :bigsmyl:

Do not draw it past the written draw length!!! If you're not stretching it out, you'll have a good bow for a long time!

Sunset Hill,
It is the all Yew with bamboo back. So it sounds like it was the last model he made then ?

no, Schulz made that bow as he was offering the Last Wilderness, and the Sage....early 90s stuff.  Then he went to the Granpa all bamboo almost exclusively in the mid 90s due to health reasons with the yew.  His last model I'm aware of is the Tonkin, bamboo and tonkin cane.
