If you really like them, would you mention what other bows that you have owned and like less?

Best regards, Skychief.

I don't think I have met a bow yet that I don't like.

  • Leon Stewart 3pc. 64" R/D 51# @ 27"
  • Gordy Morey 2pc. 68" R/D 55# @ 28"
  • Hoyt Pro Medalist, 70" 42# @ 28" (1963)
  • Bear Tamerlane 66" 30# @ 28" (1966)- for my better half
  • Bear Kodiak 60" 47# @ 28"(1965)

Blackhawk

Mention other bows I like less?

The Grizz is so good that this list would be toooo long.

It has to be one of the best deals going these days.  Those '59 to '69 models are great!

Mine is a 72-74 model.

I just wondered where more experienced archers "ranked" them amongst the other bows, including today's more popular makes/models.

Thanks for your reply.

I like most of the Grizzlies (not overly fond of the '63), especially the static tip models.  They are just neat looking, and fun to shoot.  Many complain about their handshock-I don't notice it.

My favorite bow is usually the one I have in my hand when I'm shooting really well.  My least favorite is one I can't get matched to an arrow.

I have a '59 Grizzly,62" 45@28 and a '72 Grizzly,58" 45@28.They're both great shooting bows but I string up and shoot the '72 more.
