I finally got my first coyote with my new Recurve I just built for me a few weeks back. Me and my buddy Jeano AKA refugerambler on here decided to start pig hunting last weekend. We got on some hogs but just couldn't get it to come together.
We decided to go in there this weekend and hunt from stands since the area was tore up pretty good. We're hunting on Bankhead National Forest, and let me tell you if anyone has hunted Bankhead National Forest they know how steep and deep the hollers are. We were in the bottom of one of these hollers where we set up. We hunted all day yesterday and didn't see any pigs. Slipped back in there again this morning and got in the stands a little after daylight. About 9 o' clock had two coyotes come in behind me. As they got to the left of me one of them winded me and bolted away from me and the other followed. About ten minutes later I see them coming back to me. The one in the lead, a female, came within six steps of my tree and stopped. I put an arrow right through the boiler room. She didn't go 40 yards before piling up. I've been trying to take a coyote for as long as I've been hunting. What an experience.
Next thing on my list is a bobcat. Hopefully it won't take me ten years to do it, lol.
   Here's some pics. She's a young dog.

Outsmarting a coyote is quite an accomplishment.

Congrats on the success!

As you know, coyotes are a tough critter with a bow. Congrats, and good luck on the bobcat!

CONGRATS!

You have to be happy!  I had a shot on one two years ago but my arrow struck a limb on the way down.

Good shooting on your part!

This stuff ain't no rocket surgery science!

That's cool!

I got the bobcat with my longbow but can't seem to make it work on a yote. I know hat a yote bust mount would look real cool opposite of the bobcat bust mount!

Congrats on your yodel dog!
