Hello
I am curently shooting an Bear A riser with 3# limbs.
I was thinking of getting a set of 1# limbs to make it an 56` bow for bowfishing. And my question is, wil the 56" lenght bow work with a 28 inch draw ?
I do not have the option to try them before i buy.
Regards Øyvind.

When turkey hunting out of a blind I shoot an A rizer with #1 50 lb limbs and I draw 30". It stacks the last inch or so but still works great. I don't think at 28 you'll notice any stacking.

Orion

I shoot a 56-incher for turkeys as well.  No stack at my 28-inch draw.  A little bit of finger pinch, but not enough to worry about.

What poundage are you looking for? I can send you a pair of limbs to try.

You will be fine with that set-up.  I draw 29" with my A and #1's on a good day and still have a little room left.

BTW, nice gesture Felix.

Hello
I realy appreciate the offer on the limbs, but i think i wil buy a set and if they don`t work out i wil get a b riser and problem solved.
I was thinking of getting the 40# limbs to keep finger pinch at a minimum.
I realy like the Bear take downs sweet shooting bows.
I am just sorry i didn`t try these excelent bows before.

Are you guys shooting Bear limbs or other after market limbs ?

Im shooting a  bear A riser with #1 limbs made by Jim Gainey of Blackcreek bows. no finger pinch at all at 28 inch. If you ever look for aftermarket limbs check Jims out, they are awesome

Thanks for good advice. Do blackcreek bows make the 2# limbs also ?
Have been looking at their website but it did not say.

I have an A-mag riser with #1 Bear fast flight limbs -- 50# at 29" for a 56" bow. It is very smooth and consistent.
I have a A-wood riser with #3 Rose Oak limbs --53# at 29" for a 60" bow -- and it is smoking fast.
You cannot go wrong no matter what you choose.
Have fun.

It looks like i wil be going for a set of Black Creek #2 limbs in 46# they had a set ready for shipment. If they work out i wil go for a set of #1 limbs.
Does anyone know if the Fred Bear sports club stil exsists. I was a member i 1990.
Found my old jacket patch and membership card with diploma signed by Frank Scott.

What brace height is used with the #2 limbs  on the A riser ?

M60gunner

Sorry to say the Fred Bear club is gone by the wayside. It must have happened when Bear was bought/sold over the years.. I have my Club stuff also.

smokin joe

The brace height with #2 limbs and an A riser will average about 8" give or take a bit. Work up and down from there and you will find what's best.
