After going thru a bit of a shooting slump, I think Ive finally worked out the problem,,Ive been trying way to hard! This evening I went out and shot with a very relaxed practice session, but still using proper form, and BOOM IT JUST CLICKED! Ive been trying so hard to get everything so perfect( form wise) that the actual mechanics of picking a spot and shooting has suffered.
Proper form is an absolute in archery, but so is picking a spot and shooting said spot , dont let the shooting mechanics over ride the basic, point and shoot part of your practice.
Relax, slow down, and shoot the target, and not so much the bow, its amazing how well you will perform if you just let it flow.

Well said! Like many things in life... shooting a bow is really a reflexion...congrats on youre "slowing down".  :)
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

I think you are dead on!  Form first, but I do my best shooting when just walking around the property shooting at pine ones.
My point.  Ya gotta have some plain old fun sometime or it gets to be work. Can't have that!

I agree, just shoot the bow and it will come if you don't force it and put pressure on yourself. relax and let yor brain take over.
