I have been stumping with a friend for a couple months and he has yet to break a gold tip expedition shaft.  Since I don't shoot my gold tips anymore I have him 8 xt hunters I had laying around.  The next night we went out and he broke 4 of the shafts I gave him but still hasn't broken one of the cheaper expeditions. This seems weird to me as I thought the xt  hunters were straighter but built no different than the expeditions.  No idea but those expeditions seem tough as nails and much cheaper.

I think that's just typical luck....you will always break or lose the more expensive arrows.  At least I do.  Anyway, I believe you're right and the arrows are the same other than straightness tolerance.

i have shot both and both have held up equally well. why dont you all try footing them with aluminum and have yourself some tough stumping arrows?

I have both and wouldn't waste my money on the more expensive XT's again.
