I usually try to shoot everyday and today I have the day off work. A perfect opportunity, right? But, it's 100 degrees out and expected to climb the next few days. I'm afraid to even string a bow up for fear of some kind of damage. I don't have air conditioning so shooting inside is also out. What do you do?

Now, is when it is too hot to shoot. Probably won't hurt the bow, but I can't see through the sweat!

We are in the same  boat here in WI, I shoot about 15 arrows and go  in The house, then a couple arrows later I do it again. Shot a few times today

I shoot and it's been 107. Or so . It's too hot if you can't stand it, which for me is after 30 or so shots

Out the up stairs bedroom window. Just like shooting out of my tree stand.

When it's so hot the string wax under your serving melts and the serving starts sliding around like eggs in bacon grease.

Heat Index here, right now is 104.  Went out  back, and after  a half dozen arrows, sweat was dripping off my nose. Had to come back in.  I can tolerate the cold much better than this heat.

For me, it gets too cold easier than too hot. Shot a bunch earlier, and it was plenty hot all right

It's going to be this hot or hotter when our season comes in.....

I just shoot for about 10 or 15 minutes right at dark.

TODAY!!!!  Except in the basement....

Took about 25 shots earlier.  Pretty darned hot.  Came inside and set my bow on the table and will go back out after dark.  I'll turn the lights on and shoot when it is a bit more tolerable out there!  I doubt the ambient temp will hurt the bow... just don't leave it laying out there for extended periods, or in and enclosed vehicle!

Not quite that hot here in Pa. a cool 94 degrees. I get up earlier and shoot before I go to work. That works for me.

What Owlbait said.  If you're spending more time wiping the sweat out of your eyes than shooting it's too hot to shoot.
Don't meddle in the affairs of dragons; people are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

When it's so hot the change in your pocket melts, you can assume its too hot to shoot.

Heat used to not be an issue, but in the last few years, I just don't handle it well. It has been over 100 degrees several days lately, so I have mostly stayed indoors. It was 108 a few days ago with humidity to match.  Early morning is about the only good time to shoot this time of year.Even when the season opens, I quit fairly early on the really hot days. There's just something wrong about sitting in a deer stand with sweat dripping off the end of your nose.
