So in looking for my bow of choice, I have found that I prefer and shoot straight grip bows the best. Which got me to thinking, since "most" hybrids, and mild reflex deflex LBs i have seen have a locator grip, what is your prefered grip albeit at LB or recurve.
For me it is most definetly a straight grip, and more specifically Steve Turays straight grip. It is Thin, tapers slightly towards the palm and widens out at the fingers. It is just heaven. Not to Deep either. I have a New to me Union Jack, and while I love the grip on it also, it is a bit bigger. Wider mostly i think with more of an egg type shape. So lets hear it Gangers.

On a Hill style bow I like a dished grip, A R/D longbow a slight locator, on a recurve a low or med/low. I had a Northern Mist Superior with a locator the was real good.On e of the best for me is the grip on a Holm-Made Osprey.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

As high as I can get. If I grip the bow, I tend to torque it now and then. A high wrist keeps my hand horizontal and barely gripping the bow. My accuracy became pinpoint and very consistant since learning to shoot this way.

I prefer a very low grip or locator style grip.  So far out of the many, many that I have tried the best for ME have been the Shrews and Toelke low grip, a second would probably be a Big Jim Thunderchild that I had with a small/low grip!

I like a thick straight grip, or a slightly dished thick grip, I like to feel of a sturdy grip in my hand. If the grip is to petite i find myself trying to squeeze the blood out of it for some reason.

**DONOTDELETE**

What ever kind of grip that feels good and can be repeated without any torque is the most accurate. With higher poundage bows i shoot much better with a lower grip angle with a locator or a pistol grip than high wrist. i have a tough time with straight grips personally.

Straight & bigger tapered to a wedge towards the web of the hand. 2nd would be dished.

I like both the straight and dished grips on my Hill bows equally well.

I like the Asbell grip my Black Widow has.

Dished number one, straight a very close second ... both with a slight tear drop toward the belly of riser.

If I had to pick, straight grip.  But I have no trouble switching from my straight grip selfbows to a "dished" (where the big knot happened to be) backed bow to a recurve with a fairly high wrist.  I do prefer the straight though.
