Yep, me too.  Thanks to GFA's book on Stalking and Stillhunting, I know better how to use them too.

Two things:
1. SBD 6-strand strings have had a big impact on bow performance.
2. Insect Shield clothing -- absolutely works and keeps mosquitos and ticks away.

My yearly Trad Gang $20 contribution has gotten me invaluable information and many memories.

I've learned a lot from this site, have made a lot of friends from this site and have had hunting opportunities that were generated from this site. Money well spent!

besides bows, arrows, b/h, feathers etc
the best deal is the game cart.  This year I hauled out an elk in one trip alone. I love that cart.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

Tree safety harness. Also, a very large and well stocked camp first aid kit.  I haven't needed it, but it gives me comfy feeling knowing its there.

I did like RC, took several heirloom rings & the wifes wedding ring to a good jewelr and had nice one made for her.  That was leverage for Alaska moose hunt this fall.   :D
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I purchased a good set of binos pretty early in my hunting career, before a wife, mortgage and come September, a child.

My SPOT unit allows for my wife to feel more comfortable with me venturing out far from home and my Mystery Ranch pack helps me get there.

Quality clothing and quality rain gear.  The price is steep, but the benefits have been tremendous.

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

Waldrop Pac seat. Got it the end of March. Between the seat and my home made ghillie poncho I feel 100% more confident I'll break into the 15-18 yard bubble this season. Been shooting from the seat with the ghillie this off season. System is working great.
