Hang clothes outside or if rainy put them in a bag with baking soda.

I use Final Step Cedar Cover Scents.  Works awesome.

Hoyt

I try to wash my huntin clothes couple times a season...but it's really a waste of time with a long haired dog livin with me.

Thumper Dunker

They can still smell you, keep them up wind.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

depends, if wearing wool, nope.  cotton on warm days, "dead down wind"  spray it works.  other than that just wash clothes with baking soda and hang to dry and play the wind.

about 20 or so years ago the host of a tv show "Michigan Outdoors poured a quart jar of his own Urine on the ground and then later witnessed Deer sniffing, pawing and even rolling in it. Thats when I stopped using them. Now I just play the wind.

Huntingnut

I'll be one of the odd ones out I guess. Like Badwithabow said, Primos Silver XP is good stuff. I have experienced much better results when using it than when not.I've had deer downwind from me and never smell me when using it. I go through about 3-4 bottles of it a season.Tinks also makes a good one.

I use them as much as possible. I wash my clothes in scent free detergent, keep them in totes, and try to not put them on until I am in the timber. I use scent "killing" spray and also cover scent and try to play the wind as much as possible. It gives me just that much more confidence, also y I wear camo

As most would agree you will NEVER beat a deer's nose so you can only do what will enhance your chances.  Obviously #1 is being down wind and that is easy to say but we all know how wind swirls and changes direction.  Anyhow, I try to use a scent killer only to help my odds but no cover scents.  Arkansaslongbow, would you mind sharing what you use in your own mixture of scent killer or does anyone else make their own spray type scent killer?

Yes I do, do not know if it helps or not. Do not use white lightning, it leaves a white powder all over everything when it dries.

BAK

Nothing works just fine.  I guess I must not stink.   :)

During the rut I'll sometimes use James Valley scents on a drag rag to the stand, but that's it.

I use carbon powder. But the primes with the silver in it does work. I tested it by Spraying a wad of chewing tobacco. The smell goes away completely. I'm sure deer can still smell it but it for sure diminishes the smell.
