Was wondering what spine I need for a woodie.will be shooting a 50lb. at 25in. with a 27in arrow and a 135gr. broadhead.Been trying some 60/65 with a 75gr.woodie weight and seem to fly ok but realy don,t want to use them.Trying to find a 600gr. shaft at 27in.and be able to use my deltas.

If a 60/65 lb cut to 27" would get stiff, try a 50/55lb shaft with the 135 grn heads and no woodie weight. If you shot an aluminum arrow from the bow before and it flies the way you want. There is a spine chart in the How to section that will give you the compatible spine for that alum shaft. Otherwise PM snag he can hook you up.

If you're shooting a glass laminated bow and fast flite string, you'll need about 50-55# spine. At that spine, it will be very difficult to find cedar or spruce shafts physically heavy enough to make a 600 grain arrow with 135 grain points. However, should be able to find Doug firs heavy enough to do that. BTW, if you're shooting Zwickey Deltas, they'll be under 130 grains before you finish sharpening them.
