I chose 2 blades because that is what I use most often, but I love the 3 blade VPA and 300 Xtreem broadheads too. For most deer, just about any decent, sharp broadhead will do. But for the biggest, toughest animals that I pursue with stick and string, I want to make sure I have the one of the best broadheads in existence on the pointy end of my arrow.

Tried a 3 blade this year and made a good shot.  Minimal blood trail and searched three days.  It was found by chance almost thee months later. The arrow was also found showing the "curled" tip.  I did have it filed to lessen the point but apparently not enough. I learned the hard way about curling tips on a two blade but that deer was still found.  I know loosing one deer is not great evidence and three blades are probably effective, but it does make one reconsider.

Two blade Eclipse every time.  Always sharp, never bend/break, guaranteed.

There isn't a 'don't care' option???

I use 2 blade Mangus or my own forged heads if I want more weight up front.  Never really got into 3 blades as I can sharpen 2 blades so easily in  the field just in case of a miii...well you know what I mean  :)   tippit

I'm new to traditional archery, but I shot a doe with a woodsman elite, a three bladed head, and I was amazed at the entry and exit woulds.

Breakfast Boy

I've used nothing but 3 blades for the past 9 years or so and voted for 3 blades.  However, this year I'm going to be shooting some VPA 2 blades to see how I like them.

I prefer two blades.  My current preference is the Eclipse 145gr.

I have used Snuffers, Wensels and Montecs.  I just cannot get over the whistling noise when shooting them.

All I have ever used for over 40 years is two bladed.

I trust my ability to get a 2 blade sharp.  I like the idea of more blades, but at the end of the day I trust what I can get sharp.  I really like Magnus and Zwickey.

Interesting it is trending 65%  for 2 blades.

You three bladers must be noisy as I thought "everyone" shot three blades.  :-)

Owlmagnet

I use two blades because I hunt with a back quiver and a three blade is more apt to hang up on the lip of the quiver as I remove an arrow. I have even grown particular about the two blade heads I use. I like a two blade with a less than 90 degree angle at the back of the blade. Again, it reduces hang-ups on the lip of the back quiver. I use a Howard Hill back quiver and Zwicky Eskimos or old Bear Razorheads.

I made a switch to the 2 blade Simmons TreeShark. Can't wait to see what they do to game!
