I was thinking how lucky I've been dealing with people on Tradgang. I have had two bad deals, one on 2 billets for trade and a DVD I got hooked on. It only cost me 34.00 but could have been much worse. I have sold and traded several bows and so far, it has been great dealing with people here. 99% percent of people on here are truly honest. I would trust them with my house keys, but please don't get luled into thinking everyone is top notch on here. It could cost you a few hundred dollars if dealing on a bow. Just felt I needed to speak. Don

Yup thats why they have the warning up top of each classified.

I have good dealings on here as well.you just have to use a little common sense an go with your gut if it dont seem right back away.even with all that said you can still get burned.but people who take advanage of our situation knowing this place is a bunch of good people have to live with there scumbag selves just think how hard that must be laying there head on there pillow every night knowing they are nothing but dirt.It would be a tough way to live.

I've been very lucky and never have had a bad deal here either buying or selling. If you buy or sell you can take steps to protect yourself but a trade is a pure act of faith. You ship yours and he ships his. You both are at each others mercy.

Making sure to have a phone conversation is key if you're concerned. People are not trackable through e-mail but they are through phone #'s! Seems to work!

All the bows I have sold or traded went very smooth. It always seemed like the guys I talked to over the phone were the ones that bought or traded. I think if you talk to someone over the phone you get to know the person a whole lot better. I've made some really good friends that I may not ever meet, but that's ok, good place to buy, sell, or trade.

Yup, get a phone number or check the persons post history here to see if they're a regular.

I have purchased several items on here with no problems, great people to deal with so far. Getting ready to try selling my first item soon and feel very confident in dealing with most. Did trade a bow with SteveM and he was great to deal with. Had a couple phone conversations with him first. I was the newbie and was so suprised when he offered to send me his bow to try before sending him mine. Definably some great people on here, reason I am still here!!
May your arrow always fly true and your hunt be an adventure.

I just traded a set of arrows. Worked out very well for me and hopefully the other party. Would do business with him again in a heartbeat.

That's good advice from everyone. I have two old recurves that I was thinking about putting on here, and now know some things to look out for.

Sorry,,, I dropped the ball on a DVD from Bingams. Somebody named Kirk was passing it around, I got it, watched it and forgot about it. I found it the other day in the wifes movie collection.
There is a list inside of those who had watched it before I got it - "Warrior", "Elk Ninja", Bullofthewood" & "Archer2". Anyone know who it was to be sent to next?

Bought and sold a good bit on here and never had a problem. I've taken personal checks from people I didn't know,   :scared:   Sent things before payment arrived    I don't consider myself lucky but I try to do some homework on my end    :readit:

I've also bought and sold off and on on here and got burned really bad on some collector stuff years back.

Otherwise overall it's been very pleasant!  have sold and bought quite a few bows and a few trinkets here and there.
