Anybody ever see a back / side quiver that has a couple extra long pockets to hold your take down bow (2 or 3 piece)? that way you can hike with your bow in your quiver then just use it as a quiver when ready?

Can't say i'v herd of one,but you could have one made or you could make one.I think there are leather crafters sponsors on Tradgang.

I use my Safari Tuff quiver and fleece sleeve to hold my two piece takedown. I use it when I have to drag out or backcountry elk hunting.

Here is a picture of my Safri Tuff on a back country elk hunt last year. I put my bow in a two piece bow sleeve and then in with my arrows in the quiver. You can see the camo fleece sleeve with my bow in the quiver behind the arrows. It works great for me.

Gil, I was thinking of doing that, but i wasn't sure it would fit. looks good though, that may be perfect! do you have the ST Arrow Master? could you tell me what the diameter of the inside of the quiver is? Also what T/D bow do you have in there?

If you use PVC pipe to make a tube quiver(bottom draw) you could pretty much attach anything to it.I would check out some of the military surplus store(colemans military surplus)for bags and satchels. They have satchels that carry 80mm mortar rounds and such,these could be used to make the bow bag.

My Vista Maverick II back quiver does. I didn't realize it until recently when I read the advertisement blurb. It has a generous pocket on the back for gear and whatever you want to take along and between that pocket and the main part of the quiver there is a pocket to hold a takedown riser (open top, but plenty deep) I'd just slip the limbs in a sleeve and put them in with my arrows as this quiver could hold several dozen.
I find it very comfortable while hiking and very secure on my back.
Riser pocket is 13" deep (so is zippered pocket), and there's an attachment point above that to strap it in. The quiver is 20-23" deep front to back and very stable

cant/shoot,That pic I posted on our local site is what Austin is talking about, or at least that's what they called it. But when I saw the back quiver on their site (Vista) it just looked loke a regular back quiver. I sent them an e-mail asking and they responded that they did not make one like that? I'm totally confused!lol

Johnathan I have the Arrow Master. It is 32" long and 5" x 3". I only carry 4 arrows while I hunt. I hunt with a Jack Harrison El Lobo 62", two piece takedown. The feathers get compressed a little but as soon as the bow is taken out they bounce back.

It works great. I backpacked in 10 miles and stayed 11 days in the back country of Colorado. At times the bow was in the quiver for 15 hours.

It is nice having one piece of equipment that can be used for multiple functions. I have no problem in using the quiver for this function. If I had a 3 piece longbow I would try that too.

Steven Catts the Hidehandler has a new quiver with a bow carrieryou might want to check out. If it isn't exactly what you are looking for he can most likely build to your specific needs. Top quality leather work the stuff will last a lifetime.

Thanks for the info guys! I checked out rasher they have some neat stuff as does the hide handler, i think i really want a canvas type material over leather but then again if its made to spec leather would work really well also.

Oops Johnathan I just bought another one on Tradgang a little while ago very reasonable.

They do come up once in a while, but even new they aren't that much. I use mine for all the hunting I do whether day trips, in a tree stand, still hunting or backpacking into the back country.
