Don't shoot it. I remember Lamont telling me that these had a reputation for "clonking" a guy on the head when the riser broke....

Steve, from all my findings, only the Magnums were prone to riser breakings. This one shoots awesome and with a little string silencing, will contend with my other bows for which will hit the woods with me this year. Right now, it is my '69 Tigercat but, this one could easily takes its place due to the grip fit to my hand! :D

Beautiful Bow,
I had one in great shape, someone with a fat wallet saw it, made me an offer and I could not refuse, take care of it. Congrats!

That is a Type I.
Beautiful bow! With normal use there is no worries about breakage with that unit.

A little glue on the grip and some hand rubbed polish and a real beauty for sure!

That's a nice type I. Looks like the Tigercat has a little competition.

Yes, I really was set on the Tigercat but, after shooting this one today, and the way the grip fits my hand, I'm just gonna have to play with it some more!

The '63 Kodiak and Grizzly are really nice shooting bows. I've read the grip on a 1963 Bear is often referred to as the Colt M1911 grip, as the shape and feel is similar. That long riser and short working limb really made for great performance and great manners.

Glad that you like it! I also have a Type 2 55#, RH, with the Bubinga sight window, in great shape that I could be persuaded to part with.

Thank you again Les! Can't say how much I appreciate the bow. If I could pull that 55#'er, I'd be all over it! :D
Someone should scoop that puppy up and Les is a great guy to deal with!
