Fred-

I'm adding you to the list. I love Cajun food. I was born in New Orleans and lived in St. Bernard Parish until I graduated high school. My families roots go back over 200years in St. Bernard. I moved to Florida about 24 years ago. My Dad relocated to Lafayette after Katrina, I was there last year for Mardi Gras.

I talked to RC today, there's a WMA south of Atlanta near Macon Co. that we might hunt. We will know which one the closer it get's to the date. RC, Jesus, Dave, and anyone else that can hunt with us in Sept or Oct. will be scouting the areas prior to the event.

for the newbies ... if you haven't hunted hogs before yer in for a Big Treat.  they are my fave critter to both hunt and eat, yum yum!  they are perfect for spot 'n' stalk, too.  terry green's excellent comments on hog anatomy, the shield, and where to aim/hit are things to bone up on, for sure.  you wanna use a good heavy arrow and a really Really REALLY sharp broadhead - don't care which one, we all have our preferences.  if it weren't for terry, i'd have never gotten into hog hunting - thank you terry!!!

Tradlongbow,

I'll have a Hill before then.  Need some advice though on what to get.  26 1/2" DL, my recurves and LBs are 48#s at my draw length.

I have shot some hill style and they always feel like they draw less weight then my short bows.

I draw a friend's 62# as easy as my 48#ers

Rob, I have never met Terry but have taken note of his experience - especially the hog killin stuff.  Maybe he can join us if he can find the time, eh?  :saywhat:

Count me and my "Big 5" in. Ive been looking at hog hunts for a long time, and i aint passing this one up. Ill be packing the 'Big 5" ,Martin 6 string, and my canvas Baker lodge that will house 4 with gear if anyone needs a home away from home.

EastTexasRedneck

Darren, Add my name to the list! If even half the guys that plan to go show up, this will be worth the trip just to meet all the guys and swap stories around the fire and get to hunt some new country.

Jon Powell

This will be my first hoggin' adventure also. I know it's a long way off, but what kind of weather can we expect in south Georgia that time of year?

Holy Cow!  This is really taking off.  Like someone said, if even half of the people are still coming at this time next year it'll be huge!

Darren, I'm planning on driving down Thursday morning, will have 3 days to go wandering with the bow.  Maybe stay longer, maybe come earlier.  But I've already put at least the 3 days plus driving days on the wife's calendar -- so that's guaranteed...
