What a great time, with great folks! A little bit of wet weather sure didnt dampen the spirit of the the Gathering or the hunt.
I didnt take as many pics. as some of the others, but heres a few i did take.

Fireside gathering.

SUCCESS! No camp is complete without a fire, even if it takes a group effort to get the wet wood to burn.   [/IMG]
Home is where you make it.   [/IMG]

Fred that is true but I let him go unharmed so that he may continue to eat those venomous snakes

awbowman

Yea, I would have let him go too.  Actually I don't even kill the poisonous ones.

In 20 years or so I have only killed one timber rattler that I can recall .....  he took a stand between me and my dead rabbit and wouldn't relinquish it without a fight.

to me it looks like Mr. Burton is one tough man....all you guys wearing long sleeves, coats, jackets and he's in a T-shirt?  Montana must have been cold this year and Georgia was a warm respite.      :biglaugh:      :biglaugh:
Bob Burton was very happy to be down in Georgia even with the rain.

These pics are awesome! I had a truly fantastic time meeting all of you guys and I don't think I've laughed so hard in years!

Thank you all so very much for showing me some true American hospitality during my visit. It was really appreciated. Hopefully some of you will travel up to Canada to hunt with me and I can return the favour.

Over the past several weeks I've been talking about another hunt next year with a bunch of the guys/girls that attended the HillGang Hog Hunt.

We've had several suggestions about different game to hunt but the majority wants to hunt javies in Texas.

In the next couple of weeks we should have an idea where it will be, and how many hunters can be accommodated so we can set a date for next year.

Stay tuned...

OK I've got a few pictures to post, hopefully they aren't a waste of bandwidth.

4 steps to going hog hunting:
#1 make a pile of all your hunting... er stuff

#2 shove it all in your car

#3 escape the arctic north

#4 try not to get your car stuck on the way to camp

sticksnstones

Then I've got some from around camp as everyone was getting setup.
