In Atlanta, fed and gassed up. Be there shortly!

24 miles to Geogia. 193 miles total to go. Looks like we'll be pulling in at sunset. Multiple forecasts say that'll be the last sun for a couple of days. Should start to dry out in time to pack up on Sunday.  Rain might cover my noisy stalking technique though.

Man, dropping like flies. Wonder what our final count will be?

Well, all along I had thought that maybe 50% of the bunch that signed up would probably make the final cut--had no idea I would be among the ones who couldn't.  Hope those who are able to make the trip have a fantastic time.  I dearly love to hunt hogs--can't think of any animal I would rather hunt. Please keep us posted who are with you in spirit if not in the fleash.  :campfire:

I made it to camp and got setup. Cell connection on my phone won't let me upload pics from camp. Will have to snap them now and post them later.

I hope they are all out hunting hard today while it is still nice.  The forecast is even worse now; 100% chance of rain tomorrow, 80% Saturday with thunderstorms both days.  Looking at the hourly forecast, it looks like it could rain pretty much non-stop from late tonight through Saturday.  Hopefully that won't be the case.

Don't think anything can "rain" on this parade!

Y'all are in for a blast no matter what

Tonight, the local weather folks were undecided if the largest band of rain would come thru Macon or to the South. Forecasted total for the Hawkinsville area is 4-6", time it's all said and done. Sure hope the forecast is wrong.

Good luck fellas....we had very muddy and wet hunting last weekend in Georgia and very cool at night 29*-34*F....hogs stayed bedded up a lot but they were all over the place.

Shoot straight and wear hip boots.  :)

We're all enjoying the calm before the storm. 60s and blue sky's today, way too nice for good hunting! Time in camp is great, lots of talking and shooting going on. We'll just have to see what tomorrow brings.

Rain started in the night and just finished. No real wind to speak of. I hear some engines firing up, I assume people heading out. I'm gonna make some coffee and head out on my own route if it stays mostly clear for a while.

I'm going down to my lease tomorrow to chase some pigs around and do a little work for turkey season and might try to swing by the campground and check on the guy's while I am there.  Need to make sure they are behaving themselves and not causing too much of a ruckus!   :)
My lease is just on the north side of 96 and east of the river so I am not far away!
They'll be no quitters till we bag us some critters!

That's a pretty spooky swamp, RCs pics do it justice. Lots of pigs spotted, I haven't heard of any shots but I only talked to about a quarter of camp.  Rain started up tonight about the time the venison chili and campfire stories came out, hopefully it ends tomorrow morning so we can do some more hunting!
