Tusker 160 gr. Delta

Since the STOS have become impossible to find, I am in need of a new 160 grain 2-blade.  I am familiar with the 160 Ace, but I am wondering if anyone has some first hand experience with the Tusker 160 Delta.  I kind of like the looks of it and I hear it is tough.

    The 160 STOS has been my Broadhead of choice for several years, but they are hard to find right now.

they are great heads as long as you put a good tanto tip on them

I too prefer STOS for accurate mounting and ease of sharpening, but once you do get a Tusker 160 mounted straight and sharp, they do a good job. I killed a buffalo with one, and a pig.

Thanks Ben most of the tuskers all spin good if you get a bad one the trick is to just file the end of your adaptor a bit and that will fix them up...Thanks Shane

I really like the 150 javalins. And lets just be real for a minute. If it works in Australia it will work anywhere. The video of John killing the black bear in colo on the braveheart website sold me. that dude is for real.

The Delta was introduced in 1964 and has been in continuous production ever since.  Originally it was called the Davies Delta after the maker, and it was the first of the current line up to make an appearance.  John, the current owner, is indeed the real deal and a hunting and killing machine.  Last I talked to him he'd taken about 30 feral boars last year alone!  He bought the line from Davies around 12 years ago and changed the name to Tusker.  He's a working machine too, and he's made many improvements in that time, as well as having added several new heads.

Deltas are my favorite Tusker, they offer more cutting than the others and they fly exceptionally well for a large head.  As Jerry mentioned, the steel in all Tuskers take and hold an excellent edge.
