I agree w/TJ that first hit I woulda never expected to see a deer live through! specially a Snuffer hit.

That may have been it!!!!  I had left the Randall 3-5 at home and had a new knife I was going to use.

Ahhh.....the curse of the new knife!!!

Not carryin your 3-5?!! Guess you won't do that again. Retired my 33 year old 3-5 my dad gave me in '78. Special occasions only now.
