Arrows suddenly acting stiff - Help Needed

Alright, here's the deal.  I've always been proficient at bare shaft tuning and never had trouble getting to a properly matched arrow...but this is throwing me for a loop.  When I first got my new Zipper (55# @ my draw of 28"), I bare shafted to a 29 1/4" easton fmj 400 with 100 gr brass insert and a 175 gr head.  Now, when I bare shaft it flies nock right and my arrow flight with fletched shafts is erratic.  Tonight I experimented with point weights from 125 to 300 and the 300 actually flew really well but still bare shafted with nock slight right.  

I will say that my draw length may be a tad longer now than when I first started shooting the bow back in the Spring as I've gotten stronger.  That said, I would've expected the longer draw to result in the arrow acting weaker, no?

Any thoughts would really be appreciated!

Check the Brace height the string may have stretched since you got it.

What he said. Also double check your nock point. If you're not already, I'd suggest using a double nock set. One above, one below. An arrow sliding down the string upon release will cause all kinds of problems.

Any increase in brace height recently or addition of string silencers, etc.? That would impart a slight weakness to the shaft. But, you are right if your draw length is longer you should be showing a weaker shaft. Sounds like it is bona fide acting stiff when you add the 300 gr point weight and it straightens out.

Are you using one of the new strings or your old one? The are the same material and strand count as the old one.The nock fit may be slightly different? They may be a different serving. Tracy is always looking at improvements

Thanks guys.  BH is exactly the same, silencers are the same and in the same location on the string.  Double nock set - brass top and dental floss tied in below.

Sorry I meant to say increased brace height would cause the shaft to act stiffer. At any rate, several of use posted about the same time regarding brace height. Hopefully it is something simple like that.

The string is one of the newer ones but it's pretty broke in.  I've shot it a bunch.  Nock fit seems the same. Arrow stays on with the bow turned upside down but a tap on the back of the nock knocks it off.

Did you change the rest or strike plate at all?

How about your side plate or shelf material? Any changes there? lpcjon2 It looks like we had the same question at the same time.  :D

No chance to the rest or strike plate material.  I did replace the rest but with the same material, gap between rest and shelf is the same.

Is the nock fitting to tight on the string?  And when you shot it fletched do you see any wear marks on the shelf or the back face of the shelf?

I've tried cock feather in and out and I get better flight with it in.  The rest material is wearing right at the apex of the the rest (pretty much directly above the throat of the grip).  Is it possible that the longer draw (and power stroke) is resulting in the string traveing further past brace at release and the arrow is striking the rest rather than being loosed from the string before it contacts?

Did you check the height of your nock?

You may just be releasing differently. If it is very minor I would not worry about it. That is why god gave turkey's feathers. So we could put them on our shafts.    :D    I know this is going to drive you crazy until you figure it out.

If the arrow is contacting the riser you would hear it.

Nock height is the same and I've played with moving it up and down.  My nock moves up and down with the changes as you would expect but arrow is always nock right.

Bill, I wish it was just a minor nock right but it's pretty darn drastic.  That's why I'm so freakin' confused.  I actually feel like my form and release has gotten steadily better.
